Underneath its sharp, aggressive YZ styling lies the most refined, balanced and competition-ready motorcycle in the 250 class. Its light, compact chassis offers exceptional handling feel, a more comfortable riding position and best-in-class KYB suspension. Its renowned 250cc four-stroke engine churns out exhilarating power across the rev range, and combined with Yamaha's advanced next-generation Power Tuner App, offers a level of tunability the competition can't match.
Like having factory team support in your pocket, Yamaha's groundbreaking Power Tuner App is revised to be even more user-friendly. Features include an intuitive Simple Tuning slide bar for engine mapping, Traction and Launch Control tuning, a lap timer, along with helpful engine and suspension tuning guides. The Traction Control System communicates wheel slip to the ECU, tuning the engine to maintain ideal rear wheel traction with three selectable levels, while Launch Control features an rpm limiter adjustable in 500 rpm increments between 6,000 rpm and 14,000 rpm, all controlled through the app.
